I.T. is not for Everybody

From: Sir Glenn Guden

“I.T. is not everybody. It is only for people with high logical aptitude. You are lucky that you have that ability.”

These were the words that struck me during the PhilNits Orientation for Faculty, which was conducted by Aloycius Torres (a.k.a. “Loy”). Perhaps, he is right. We cannot force anyone to learn and be interested in I.T. or computer science concepts, especially if they are not intellectually inclined to that. All of those computer technicalities may just intimidate and confuse them. It’s quite a scary thought — but it is happening. Therefore, those are naturally inclined to I.T. should not waste that gift. They should further enhance their capabilities because by doing so, a lot of opportunities may come their way.
